Terms of Service

Your music. Your choice. These Terms explain how to use Nebula responsibly and what to expect from its local playback, optional cloud features, and external services.

Effective date: November 3, 2026Nebula Music Player

1. About these Terms

Welcome to Nebula. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) explain the conditions for using Nebula – Music Player (the “App”), an Android music player developed by Nebula Music Player (the “Developer,” “we,” or “us”).

By downloading, installing, or using Nebula, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Your use of third-party services connected to Nebula may also be subject to those services’ own terms and policies.

These Terms govern use of the App. How information is handled is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. What Nebula provides

Nebula lets you organize and play supported audio files stored on your Android device. Depending on the installed version and your choices, features may include playlists, lyrics, album artwork, listening statistics, audio controls, and an optional connection to music files stored in Google Drive.

Nebula is a music player, not a music-selling or music-licensing service. The App does not grant you rights to music, lyrics, images, or other materials owned by others. Availability and compatibility of specific formats or features can vary with your device, Android version, file contents, and third-party service availability.

3. Using the App responsibly

You may use the App only in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms on your own, use the App with the permission or supervision required by applicable law.

You are responsible for the audio files and other content you choose to access, play, organize, or share using Nebula. You must have the rights or permission necessary for your intended use of those materials.

4. Your music and local files

Your music remains yours. Nebula does not claim ownership of audio files, playlists, personal listening statistics, or other content in your library. Nebula processes supported files and metadata to provide playback and library features.

The App may request Android permissions needed to discover and play local audio. You can manage those permissions in your device settings, although denying them may prevent certain features from functioning.

Please keep independent backups of important files and information. We cannot guarantee recovery of device data lost through device damage, operating-system changes, storage corruption, or other circumstances outside our control.

5. Optional Google Drive connection

Google Drive integration is optional. If you choose to connect a Google account, Nebula uses Google’s authorization flow and requests read-only Google Drive access to locate, display, and play supported audio files from your Drive library.

Nebula is not intended to edit, delete, upload, or overwrite your original Google Drive files through this feature. Reading music files, extracting metadata, loading artwork, and streaming audio may involve temporary local storage or caching.

You may disconnect your account in Nebula and review or revoke connected-app access through your Google Account. Reconnecting may require authorization and a new library scan. Disconnecting does not delete your original Google Drive files and does not necessarily erase every cached file remaining on your device.

You remain responsible for your Google account, the files you store there, and compliance with Google’s Terms of Service and applicable Google Drive terms. Google Drive availability and quota limitations are controlled by Google, not Nebula.

6. Artwork, lyrics, translations, and other services

To display public music information, Nebula may contact external providers for artist biographies, album artwork, metadata, or related information. Providers may include Last.fm, Deezer, MusicBrainz, Wikipedia, Spotify-related public pages, and other relevant sources depending on feature availability. Search requests may contain information such as artist names.

Some language features use Google ML Kit on-device translation. A language model may need to be downloaded before it can be used. Nebula may also contact GitHub Releases to check for application updates.

Third-party information, images, metadata, and links are provided for convenience. We do not guarantee their availability, correctness, completeness, licensing status, or suitability. Their respective providers and copyright holders retain applicable rights. Nebula is not sponsored or endorsed by those providers unless explicitly stated.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Nebula or connected services, including by attempting unauthorized access to someone else’s account or files, interfering with normal service operation, bypassing technical restrictions unlawfully, or using the App in ways that infringe the rights of others.

Nothing in these Terms restricts any right you have under applicable law or the licenses of open-source components included with Nebula.

9. Updates and feature availability

We may release fixes, improvements, compatibility changes, or new features. Where supported, Nebula may check for updates using GitHub Releases or another disclosed distribution channel.

Features may change, become temporarily unavailable, or be removed when reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, legal compliance, technical limitations, or service changes. Some capabilities depend on Android, your device, network connectivity, Google Drive, and external metadata providers.

Updates obtained outside an official app marketplace may be subject to the security prompts and installation requirements of your Android device. Use releases from channels you trust.

10. Donations and external support links

Nebula may offer optional links to external donation or developer-support platforms. Such contributions are voluntary unless a particular offer expressly states otherwise, and they do not by themselves purchase ownership of the App or music content.

Payments, transaction processing, eligibility, and refund procedures on external platforms are governed by the relevant provider’s terms. Nebula does not control those providers’ checkout systems.

11. Privacy and your choices

Our Privacy Policy describes how Nebula handles local music data, optional Google account access, external metadata requests, SDK diagnostics, caching, and your available controls.

We do not sell, rent, or trade users’ personal data. Necessary requests to services you use for a feature—such as looking up an artist name—are not sales of your personal data.

You may stop using optional connected features, withdraw eligible permissions, or uninstall Nebula. Some local settings and cached data may remain until removed through Android app-storage controls. Consult the Privacy Policy for details.

12. Service disclaimers

Nebula is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to maintain a reliable music player but cannot promise that every file, codec, device, cloud connection, or third-party feature will always work without interruption or error.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly provided. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer protections or legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Responsibility and limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from factors outside our reasonable control, such as third-party outages, device failures, network interruptions, or content you do not have rights to use.

Nothing here limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any applicable non-waivable consumer rights. You remain responsible for maintaining backups and securing your device and external accounts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the App, its services, or applicable requirements. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may stop using and uninstall the App.
